Performing Arts Studies


Your Child’s normal day at HBPAC runs from 8:30am-3:00pm Monday - Friday, with additional optional academic hours from 8am-8.30am & 3pm-3.30pm. Hours may vary each week to accommodate morning classes, academics & competition routines. Students are expected to use their academic study time (Roughly 21 Hours Per Week to meet government standards) to complete school work for their chosen subjects. Students have an additional 6-11 hours of Performing Arts Classes Per Week. Students participate in a range of dance style, acting techniques and vocal classes led by our industry leading faculty.

Each year our students attend a compulsory 4-5 day trip to Sydney, this camp has been postponed in 2025. Other Trips may include dance workshops, dance performances, team building experiences and acting/vocal workshops, acting/vocal performances & more. Students will also participate in other non-Performing Arts activities such as adventure camps, swimming carnivals & sports days.

Students may be asked to travel for special workshops, and performances that are not part of their yearly camp, details will be provided prior to the event. Some special event have included representing Australia at Australasian Pinnacle Melbourne, Thunderstruck Dance Competition Los Angeles, Summit Dance Junior Worlds Orlando, Global Games Hawaii & Infinite Spirt Championship Tasmania. Students at HBPAC also get exclusive workshops throughout the year that are held on campus & online with both Australian and International Teachers.

Dance Students at HBPAC will perform in a number of competitions throughout the year. Students will be selected for routines for styles they excel in. Students may also be  given performance & assisting opportunities with touring and local events.

Students will be required to attend a number of classes depending on their stream. Dance Stream Students will have the option to participate in Drama and Vocal Classes & Vice Versa.
